Christ Church runs a Youth Club for 10 – 16 year olds. We meet on a Sunday evening between 5 and 7pm during term time. The children participate in a range of activities including drama, debating, and group work. They also have a period of downtime where they play table-tennis, pool, snooker and enjoy listening to music. We usually break at 6pm for tea and cake. During the summer months we play games on the village green so the children are advised not to bring their new trainers unless they want to see them rapidly lose their shine!
As we are a church-based youth club the children learn about the Christian message and the importance of loving one another. Some of the activities include acting out the Bible stories or building their confidence by reading poetry or the lesson in a church service, typically at Christmas or Easter.
